A new software addition to an anatomic pathology platform provides lab managers a quick and reliable, at-a-glance view of operational data, enabling to better monitor progress, anticipate bottlenecks, and avoid potential problems.

"Having the ability to monitor operational efficiency in real-time is crucial to a lab's success in today's time-pressed anatomic pathology environment," said Rick Callahan of NovoPath, Inc. More...
(Princeton, NJ, USA), "Typically, labs deal with problems after they negatively impact efficiency. With the NovoPath Dashboard, the lab manager can proactively monitor the pulse of the lab and make needed adjustments to eliminate bottlenecks and maximize efficiency." It presents critical statistical information in an easy-to-read graph or chart format for visual overview.

NovoPath is an anatomic pathology laboratory information management software platform that acts as a data warehouse for pathology cases and offers solutions for reporting, image acquisition, label printing, electronic signoff, synoptic reporting, voice dictation, billing, outreach, and more. It is designed for use at independent pathology practices and for easy integration with an existing Hospital Management System (HMS). It helps streamline workflows in a variety of settings, from general hospital to specialized reference labs, and supports adaptation to changing lab regulations. The platform is scaled to fit lab size, from multi-site, multi-facility labs examining thousands of cases per day to single-site labs.

"NovoPath is designed based on a deep understanding of anatomic pathology workflow and offers a broad range of flexible features," said Mr. Callahan, adding that deployment of such modules will help a lab succeed in a changing environment.
