Hemostasis Analyzer Provides Clotting, Chromogenic, and Immunoturbidimetric Testing Capabilities

Posted on 06 Aug 2008
A powerful hemostasis analyzer has been developed for mid-high volume laboratories.

Called the ACL TOP 500 CTS (closed tube sampling) hemostasis analyzer, it is the newest addition to the family of ACL TOP systems, and was released by Beckman Coulter (Fullerton, CA, USA) in partnership with Instrument Laboratory (IL; Huntington Beach, CA, USA). More...

The hemostasis analyzer offers 24-hour, 7-day continuous operation without workflow interruption. It can hold 800 cuvettes and delivers up to 240 tests per hour. Cap piercing is automated and results arrive quickly, with prothrombin time (PT) reported in three minutes or less.

The analyzer provides clotting, chromogenic and immunoturbidimetric testing capabilities with a complete menu of routine and specialty assays. Its LED-based clot detection allows it to read clot-based assays at 671 nm, which helps minimize the effects of most preanalytic variables. The interface is user-friendly and operators need only a minimal amount of training.

The TOP 500 CTS is a compact, powerful analyzer that helps labs maximize labor resources, reduce turnaround time, and improve patient care.

Beckman Coulter provides a wide range of coagulation analyzers that deliver consistent, quality results with minimal maintenance. The wide selection of specialty assays and reagents are also designed to maximize the labs' capabilities. The company also offers service to enable the labs to operate at peak efficiency.
