Posted on 17 Dec 2020
ELITech Group (Puteaux, France) has launched the CE-IVD marked SARS-CoV-2 PLUS ELITe MGB Kit that detects SARS-CoV-2, Flu A, Flu B, and RSV on the Sample-to Result-Platform ELITe InGenius and is available on major PCR thermocyclers as well.

The kit detects the RNA of the two genomic regions “ORF8 gene” and “ORF1ab gene” for SARS-CoV-2, the RNA of the genomic region “Influenza A Matrix Gene” for Flu A, the RNA of genomic region “Influenza B Matrix Gene” for Flu B, the RNA of Nucleoprotein gene sequence of Respiratory Syncytial Virus for hRSV, and a human RNAse P. as an endogenous Internal Control to monitor the entire process from extraction to amplification.

The Kit is CE-IVD marked, allowing the possibility of carrying out 96 tests on the ELITe InGenius platform, the sample-to-result solution, capable of analyzing up to 12 samples simultaneously in two hours and 30 minutes, and of re-analyzing them for additional investigation without the need for further extraction of genetic material. SARS-CoV-2 PLUS ELITe MGB Kit is compatible with the main Real Time PCR Platforms to meet the requirements of all laboratories involved in the fight against SARS-CoV-2 and to distinguish it from the most relevant seasonal respiratory viral pathogens.
